Sat Sri Akaal, I'm Sami! I was born in 1991, meaning that I'm currently 28 years old. I'm residing in Jyväskylä, which is pretty much located in the dead center of Finland. Originally I'm from Denmark, but I've lived in Finland since I was a wee lad.
For the past 6 years I've worked as a usability researcher and UX designer with a strong focus on accessibility. On top of that, I've also done some front-end work and design system development. I try to bring design thinking methodologies and agile project development practices to develop better products and working cultures in the companies I'm working for.
I'm currently a full time university student, slowly working my way towards a master's degree in cognitive sciences and human-computer interaction. In the mean time, I try to spend time with open source projects of a wide variety. I have done a lot of translations for several products (Eng->Finnish, Eng-Danish or vice-versa). I would also like to contribute design and research work to any project that doesn't actively harm the common people.
Here's a (not all encompassing) list of skills I posess that I could use in projects that you care about:

Visual design and branding

Creating a visual brand that appeals to users and represents the project in the desired tone and fashion
Design artefacts like logos, marketing materials, posters, social media images etc.

User research

Benchmarking current solutions and figuring out pain points
Figuring out key demographics and optimizing product flows to suit the needs of the userbase
Creating personas to represent key archetypes of your users and how to utilize them in product and feature development

Product development

User stories for feature development
Scenarios to visualize each step of the product and how it's used
Feature prioritisation and estimation
Translation, documentation and testing

Interface design

Low and high fidelity mockups and wireframes to test out potential features and how they would function
Design assets to implement in the product
Design system development to document and keep track of all the individual design components and how they're used
Teaching Sketch / Figma / Invision Studio and related design tools to the project members so that they can continue individually later on.

Accessibility

Auditing current designs but automatically and manually against WCAG2.1
Proposing and implementing solutions to mitigate issues
Teaching about accessibility issues and creating a user-first mindset in the project team

I've also worked as a technical hiring and development team manager and worked a lot with digital marketing in general. I'll gladly for example review résumés and mentor aspiring and/or up and coming developers or designers in how to get your foot in the door.

The sponsorships would be used to offset my on-going university education and living expenses. I could also use my time to do freelance work, but I would much rather contribute (and I already do) to open source in lieu of that!
