Our mission is to learn about Shabad and make it universally accessible to every person on the planet

Shabad OS currently facilitates this through providing technology in a couple of core forms:

Database: A digital database of Sikh Bani, usable by any other developer or researcher. 9000+ downloads per week!
Presenter: Used by Gurdwaras, live-streamers, and TV channels worldwide to present Gurbani to the masses, using the Shabad OS database. Millions of people have consumed the live captions that the Presenter produces.
Mobile: An all-encompassing Gurbani app with an extraordinary focus on user-experience. Currently in active development!

We have so much more to do yet.
I joined at the end of 2017, after being graciously welcomed by the original masterminds behind the initative - Bhajneet Singh and Bhajanpreet Singh. I had promised to rewrite Shabad OS Presenter v1 in 2 weeks - I'm still here 3 years later, and thousands of hours logged!
Over the years, we'd grown a 3-man project into a non-profit, open-source organisation with a mission: making Gurbani accessible to all. I've believed in the values behind Shabad OS since day 1, and I truly believe that it is a sustainable model for future Panthic work: transparency, quality, community & collaboration. Fundamentally, the work done on Shabad OS is by the sangat, for the sangat.
