Hackworth Ltd is a UK-based startup whose purpose is to make programming more relevant to children. Our long-term goal is to integrate programming into domains with wide appeal and diverse communities, instead of just the usual computing applications.
To support our long-term goal, we're developing Primer, a novel pedagogical programming language and web-based visual structure editor. Primer is completely open source and can be used free of charge.
We've been working hard on Primer for over 2 years, but we still have some way to go before it's ready for testing. Because we want to serve children and schools, we haven't sought outside investment — we're doing this 100% bootstrapped.
