Hello, I'm Dave!
I am originally from Chicago, where I have spent most of my life. I studied computer engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before eventually moving out to Seattle to join Microsoft. I am also currently enrolled part time in the Human-Centered Design and Engineering MS program at UW.
I have more than 15 years of experience writing software and more than 10 years of experience creating apps on Windows (largely in C# and XAML). I care deeply about the end users of the products I work on and focus a lot of energy on building amazing user experiences.
An increasing amount of my work, both personally and professionally, is taking place on GitHub, and it has been awesome interacting with and learning from the open source community.
