I like the idea of open source since I started software development.
I am convinced, that software - and the ideas behind - should be beneficial to the community rather than someone else's purses.
As a open source develeoper of several open source development projects I spend quite some time on these projects.
I do not plan to become a full time OSS developer, since I love my main job as well.
I also do not plan to get rich by your fundings since being rich does not automatically mean being happy.
However, since especially AndrOBD is a technical software project, it also requires to buy some technical equipment like current OBD adapters, mobile devices, etc. to allow reasonable development and testing.
Any sponsoring does help me to have reasonable equipment available for further development.
It also helps to keep the motivation up to continue spending even more hours on the project.
