I develop free and open source apps for Android, focusing on niche software and use cases. I am a long time supporter of software freedom, and choose to license most of my code under GPLv3. That work is available on F-Droid.
I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Northern Arizona University, as well as professional experience developing software for medical devices. I have worked in a variety of languages (but mostly Java and C++). I consider software development to be an engineering discipline and have very high standards which I demand from all my work.

An example of my work is Suntimes, an app that displays sunlight and moonlight times for a given location. I began this project as a simple widget. It has evolved into an outdoor planning tool that supports a variety of use cases, and has been translated into a dozen languages.
