I'm a passionate OSS developer and program mostly in Python 🐍. One thing in programming that is very important to me is clean coding as well as using the proper tools to write high-quality code with a great documentation that can be easily shipped and moved to production. For this reason, I started years ago the PyScaffold project which lets you put up the scaffold of a Python project including a bunch of best practices like py.test, Sphinx, configuration via setup.cfg, pre-commit, CI, etc. in seconds. Most of my OSS work goes into maintaining PyScaffold and adding more features. With PyScaffold I want to enable Python developers to concentrate on their actual project and not on how to write a setup.py file or to fiddle around with py.test and Sphinx configurations.
Besides PyScaffold, I also contribute to many popular OSS projects especially in the field of Data Science like SciPy, Scikit-Learn and python-runstats.
