Hi there!
I'm getting my PhD in natural language processing with focus on improving cross-lingual transfer at University of Würzburg. In particular, I work on how to better learn representations for words across languages in multilingual language models, such that performance on downstream tasks (e.g. sentiment classification, machine translation) are improved for low-resource languages like Sinhala or Nepali that are distant from English, for which most often no explicit task annotation is available.
In my free time, I've become quite engaged in the Neovim community ever since 0.5, when Lua truly became the go to scripting language of the editor. I've overhauled my config and started fiddling. Eventually, I've begun contributing to telescope.nvim (for instance, original LSP diagnostics, which key, non-blocking previewer, caching pickers, etc.) and spun out the file browser into its own more powerful extension. Over time, I've become a co-maintainer of the project and, in that function, try to help users on Gitter and Github issues. For 0.1 and beyond, I plan on working to refactor the previewers, entry makers, and incorporate unverisal multi select actions as well as leveraging telescope for vim.ui.input. Futhermore, over time, I will keep on developing the telescope-file-browser.nvim to a fully featured competitor of emacs dired.
Find, Filter, Preview, Pick. All lua, all the time.
