Hi - I am Dirk, usually known as dirkhh or dND.
I contribute to quite a few projects and maintain a couple. Subsurface and the ADS-B Feeder Image are likely the two most well known ones.
Subsurface has its own sponsor page, but lately a few people have asked to support the ADS-B Feeder Image, so here we are... All hobbies cost money - what has been the main driver of cost for the ADS-B Feeder image is buying the various SBCs I support, the SDRs, and other hardware. The 'soft' costs (domain name, servers) really aren't all that significant.
In the end, I'm ok with spending this money, I have a good job and can afford to buy some toys. But if you feel like supporting the effort... adding this sponsor button is easier than constantly explaining why I don't have a sponsor button. 😇
