GitHub Sponsors Profile
I'm a freelance IT service provider. To earn a living, I offer training courses for companies, associations and individuals, as well as one-off developments and consulting on Delphi and web languages (HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript). I also edit websites, online services and softwares.
Coding is a profession, but above all it's a passion.
I started as a teenager, in 1984, on a Thomson TO7-70 microcomputer. That was a long time ago. Back then, we shared our creations on magazines in the form of source code listings, generally in Basic language, or we exchanged K7s for a multitude of non-compatible devices. Now we have the Internet, which has greatly simplified knowledge sharing.
Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, I've got into the streaming game. Many of my code repositories have been created or completed live on Twitch. It's a great platform for sharing and exchanging with people who've come to discover new things or just to chat between enthusiasts.
The problem is that the hours spent streaming are not remunerated, and apart from the big video game streamers, very few people can make a living from it. I'm not one of them, and as I stream in French, that's never going to happen.
Offering and maintaining several hundred code repositories (examples, software, mobile applications, websites and video games) also takes time and doesn't pay. That's the problem with open source. When you don't have a company to finance it, only donations and support from individuals can compensate for the time spent on these projects.
So I'm appealing to those of you who use my projects to discover programming, to add to your knowledge or to help with your own creations. To help me do more, if you have the financial resources, support me with one-off or regular donations on GitHub Sponsors.
You can also subscribe to my Twitch channel, subscribe to my online archives via Zone Abo, buy my goodies or hire me for work (training, development or consulting).
Thank you for your support.
