Working on a variety of projects, I desire to support a community, helping develop other people into supporters of their communities.
I am a Dad of two precious kids who use quite a bit of my energy and time. Originally from England, I traveled to the United States in 2002, married in 2008 and settled down to life here.
I have a passion to develop some key technologies for open source, not only to see them created, but to maintain and develop them in such a way that they will be scalable like Google's. They must be simple to setup and run, and yet have the configurability that the open source community and their projects require.
I will be working on a Rust Relay Chat server that will be able to communicate with other Rust Relay Chat servers to distribute live chat rooms around the globe. It will be a modern chat, allowing images and emojis to be sent to recipients.
All funds will enable me to put my time and focus into these cool projects, building a community around them, and providing for my family. Without your support these technologies will remain locked up as proprietary applications, dependent on other companies and their privacy policies.
