I'm Daniel, a computer science student at NTNU.
I maintain some packages is in nixpkgs:

and have some work done on a matrix-synapse module (such as adding worker support)
I run dodsorf.as, which provides foss-based services to a small community. This costs me around 70 USD a year in recurring costs. But hardware also needs to be switched out and upgraded as the server grows, disk fail and so on.
