In October of 2020, I saw a demo for Foundry VTT, and I was hooked. When I saw that the support for GURPS was just starting, I decided to jump in. With the help of my trusted colleague and friend, Jeff Wilson (Nick Coffin, PI) we have been frantically developing the GURPS Game Aid for Foundry VTT.
Steve Jackson Games initially wasn't too pleased (and they issued a DMCA takedown notice against us), but after 5 months of discussions, they decided to lift the DMCA and let us publish legally.
We are not allowed to charge for our code (per SJG rules), not that we would. But we both invest a lot of time (nights and weekends) working on this code. And our wives have been asking why we don't spend time with them anymore... so in truth, the sponsorship money will probably go towards "date nights" with the wives (because we both want to stay married).
