👋 Hey there!
My name is Walentin 'Walki' and I'm a professional game developer by day and a hardcore Docker user 🐋 by night. If you ever hosted a CS:GO, TF2 or Squad server using Docker, you might have stumbled across one of my game server images.
❓ Why are you doing this?
I've been a gamer all my life and have been hosting servers since CS 1.6 (using the HLDSUpdateTool) and I'm painfully aware of how frustrating it can be to get that server up whilst your friends are constantly yelling into your ear 😡.
Docker is the obvious solution to this problem, since it allows us to share working setups without much hassle. Docker Hub provides for some very good game server images already, they differ widely in aspects of quality and customization. My goal is to address this issue by offering a baseline image for any game's dedicated server. All my images are meant to mimic official Docker Hub images and try, wherever possible, to stick as closely as possible to the best practices for writing Dockerfiles.
🎯 Raising Goals
Originally, I wanted to raise enough money to purchase a Docker Hub Team plan. This is no longer necessary as this project is now a Docker Sponsored OSS.
