Web Dev hung up on UX Design. I build tools on a budget, or rather without one 😅

GitHub Sponsors Profile

Sooo, I piqued your interest and now you're thinking about sponsoring me, huh? 🧐
In that case, here's everything you need to know about me:
TL;DR:
Seeing that people like what I'm doing enough to spend money on it is immensely motivating!
Also, I like to cheap-out when it comes to development and DevOps tools. Therefore, a donation or even sponsorship would go a long way to help me worry less about infrastructure and logistics, and instead focus on bringing awesome projects to life! ✨

I'm currently mainly working on Jellyfin-related projects like Finamp, Jellyfin Rewind, and JellyBook. It takes up a lot of my time, but I really enjoy doing it. Some of the requested features are exhausting to implement though, and seeing that people appreciate what I'm doing keeps me motivated to continue implementing new features and fixes.
As my bio says, I usually try to squeeze as much as possible out of various free tiers, in order to implement what I have in mind without having to spend much money.
On the one hand, this is very fun and rewarding, but on the other hand, it sucks 😖:
Having to come up with half-baked solutions to simple problems is not the best way to do it, and it shows.
By sponsoring me, you'd allow be to focus more on building and improving actually useful things, and focus less on re-inventing the wheel! 😉
I run some free services, like ODScanner, off of a cheap Raspberry Pi 4, instead of using an actual server.
This leads to problems like ODScanner's speed tests being limited to what my shitty internet connection can provide (hint: it's not much), so the speed test results aren't all that relevant.
If I could pay for an actual server for the bot to run on, scans would be faster and more accurate 😎.
Like most people, I like starting new projects, but I don't like finishing them. 😅
That's fine for some projects, because they can never be finished, but for other projects, this is a real problem, causing good efforts to go to waste because of unfinished READMEs or annoying bugs.
Seeing that people are interested enough in these projects to actually sponsor me would really motivate me and would have me working harder and longer to overcome these unpleasant hurdles! 🦾

So please, if you could spare some change for a sponsorship or even just a one-time donation, it would mean the world to me and would more than likely make my week! ❤
