I am a developer, albeit I pretend to say that I am not a programmer. Right now I am working on a linux distribution that targets small ARM Single Board Computers (Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, Pine64 etc) to run BOINC, however the distribution might change its name or at least add packages for other purposes (CCTV, ..) to run mainline linux on as many devices as possible to avoid running closed source, binary blobs and other proprietary code. The whole distribution is easy to perceive, easy to build and easy to run and targets being as easy to maintain as possible.
