My interest in software performance and bits, bytes and pixels guides my choices in which open source projects I create. I enjoy testing (and shattering) long held assumptions and pushing hardware to its limits. I especially like working with the constraints of embedded devices. Some of the software I've written many years ago, especially imaging codecs and retro-gaming emulators, has gotten a new life on Arduino and Raspberry-Pi boards.
