Self-taught programmer, reverse engineer, game hacker, and modder. :rainbow: Personal Discord Server: https://discord.gg/UmXNvjq

Hello there! I'm atom0s, a self-taught programmer and reverse engineer that mostly focuses on hacking and modifying games. I've been into game hacking for nearly 25 years, varying from old DOS games to current MMORPGs. While some of my work focuses on gaining an advantage in all types of games, I personally enjoy making modding frameworks or expanding what a game can do more than directly cheating.
For example, one of the projects I am a lead developer on is Ashita, which is an injected hook/modification for the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI. Ashita hooks onto multiple parts of the game (chat, command handling, packet handling, etc.) and exposes a full feature-rich custom API to allow other developers to directly expand the game more using our project. Plugins for our project are written in C/C++ but we also offer a full implementation of our SDK in Lua via a plugin I wrote called Addons.
My Work
While a lot of my work is closed source currently, some of my projects can be found on the following sites:
atom0s.com - My personal homepage.
GitHub - My GitHub page.
GitLab - My GitLab page.
I also post game specific modifications, fixes, patches, and such across the web on various game specific forums/sites.
Along with modding games, I also enjoy reverse engineering protections and anti-cheats. One of my other popular projects, Steamless focuses on reversing and removing a DRM protection layer of Steam games. (This project does not condone piracy, and I will never assist others in pirating games. Respect developers and pay for their work/games!)
What I will use sponsorship funds for?
Project Focus / Motivation - If a specific project gets more attention and sponsorships than others, it will help show me which of my projects users are most interested in seeing more development for. This can help me focus my time on those projects more.
Hardware / Software Upgrades - Working on various projects is a lot of fun, however things like software licenses, copies of games, and even hardware upgrades to meet system requirements costs money. Sponsorship funds would be used to help me with these costs and continue to work on my projects without hitting roadblocks due to a lack of funds.
Paying Bills - The sucky part of life and being an adult. We all have bills to pay so we can keep our hobbies.
What I wont use sponsorship funds for?
Requests - I do not take requests on new projects or similar. I enjoy working on things I find interesting and on games I enjoy. I tend to not make modifications, hacks, trainers, etc. for games I don't/won't play. I don't find any enjoyment spending time on something I have no interest in even playing. (I will generally play a game fully through (if single player) legit before I start modding/hacking it.)
However, this is not to say sponsors can't make feature requests that may get more priority than others for projects I already work on/create.
