I'm very passionate about teaching technology. I've been blogging for a while on https://adrianmejia.com. I write words and code full-stack web development using JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Angular, Vue.js, MongoDB). I also have written two books. The first one about Building E-Commerce Site using the MEAN stack. The most recent one is Data Structures and Algorithms in JavaScript
I'm originally from the Dominican Republic, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering. After working in electronics, I realized I like the software side more than hardware. So, I started learning more on my own. I didn't want to code only on the side, so I decided to do a career change. But, It was hard to get a programming job. I ended up moving to the USA and did a Masters in Software Engineering. I've been working as such since 2010.
I hope one day, I can leave my day job and focus 100% on open source projects and teaching. I'm also super thankful for the opportunity to participate in the sponsorship program!
