Hey everyone! My name's A. Márcia Barbosa and I'm a Portuguese biologist / macroecologist / biogeographer. I got a BSc in Portugal, a PhD in Spain, did a post-doc in England, plus some other post-docs in Spain and back in Portugal. After my academic career was cut short by some aggravating events, I became a freelance research consultant and instructor in biogeography and related areas.
Though no longer receiving a regular salary, I still dedicate a significant amount of time to updating and improving the free and open-source tools that I started building years ago.
