I'm Akemi and also known as der richter. I'm from Germany and in my 30s.
I manly contribute to Projects revolving around watching anime, including mpv, libass and ffmpeg. I also do some fansubbing (since 2013), filter and reconstruct old anime and i generally like to do things with avisynth.
The main project i contribute to is mpv since back in 2016. I am the sole contributor dedicated to macOS atm that tries to solve the issues reported and adds new features. I fixed several serious playback problems on macOS that were introduced by Apple with their lacking opengl implementation. Currently i try to add a Vulkan/MoltenVK backend to mpv that should in the long run supersede the cocoa-cb/opengl one. There are some major code cleanups necessary to unify this planned backend with with new cocoa-cb backend. Especially for code reusability and structure. Though i dislike doing anything audio related.
libass and ffmpeg are projects i only contribute to occasional. if i find a bug that happens to be in either project i try to fix them or create new issues on the respective issue tracker. for ffmpeg i contributed various videotoolbox hwdec bug fixes and additions.
In recent years my real work got quite busy and i can only spent time mostly on weekends, though i will still continue contributing to mpv.
