Hi there, I am working on the Rust data plotting crate Plotters. Please let me share the story of the Plotters crate.
In early this year, I was working on some task that requires me to plotting billions of data points and renders a lot panels on the same figure, this makes Rust a very good tools for this task. However, when I search for the library, I realized there's no pure Rust plotting crate that is powerful enough to produce publication quality figures. So I start working on a new one. And Plotters is aimed the number one data plotting solution in pure Rust.
This is only my side project, I don't particularly work on Plotters as my source of income. But GitHub sponsors looks interesting to me and I would like to try this.
